This week we hosted a wonderful Leavers Graduation Service for Year 6, some of the parents, teachers and children were tearful as the children read their memories and reflected on their time at Spetisbury CE Primary School. We all joined together to sing and then Bibles were presented by Mrs Caroline Tory who represents the Hall and Sloper School Trustees. Congratulations to Livvy who was presented with the annual 'Citizenship Award' for always demonstrating excellent behaviour, attitude to learning and use of the Christian values learnt. Molly was presented the 'Singing Trophy' for her outstanding talent in the art of singing and performance. Tyler was presented with the 'Football Trophy' for consistently performing well in the school football team during our league games this year. Fond memories were then shared by Mrs Lynn Webb, our Chair of Governors before celebration certificates and speeches were said. Finally the Year 6 children performed brilliantly to the parents their version of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet which was the outcome of Year 6's English this half term. Pupils, staff, parents and other relatives and many members of the community became a spellbound audience as they were drawn into the tragic tale - told brilliantly in words, songs and actions - by the whole of Year 6! A huge amount of work went into the whole project throughout the half term with Year 6 teacher Mrs Mercer. We wish the Year 6 children all the very best as they move onto new challenges. They will be sorely missed!
