Whilst the Year Fives and Sixes went off to the Ancient Technology Centre all day, the Year 5 Foxes have had an excellent day of interactive learning along the trailway and then back into the classroom.
They have foraged, picked, stewed, weaved and more. Not only have they had a huge amount of fun but they have also learnt about many different skills and techniques and gained a greater understanding of the natural world around them.
I have spent the afternoon sampling their wares; from their stinging nettle tea through to their felt made with wool and I am looking forward to what may be produced by their sloe berries! I can only hope.
