It is hard to believe that we are already at the end of our second week. It must be true that time flies when you're having fun but also I believe when you are learning. I have found out so much about our school and in particular our children over these last 2 weeks and still I'm experiencing plenty of firsts and highlights. Classroom walls are beginning to fill with the children's work and it is good to see such enthusiasm around every corner.
This week we have seen our children come back, buzzing with excitement, from the Ancient Technology Centre, Year 6 are currently having their first swimming lesson of the school year and we had our first collective worship of the year in our adjacent church - The Church of St John the Baptist. For my own Spetisbury bucket list, I made it to the trailway for the first time during our staff meeting this week. During this session we explored how we can use our local area to enrich the children's learning; all classes are planning further ways in which we can use both the facilities within school and on our doorstep to give further opportunity and experience to the children. We look forward to sharing these with you soon. I have just got in before the rain started to pour having seen our children using every resource and corner within our school - below are some photos I took along the way.
Thanks for your ongoing support and have a great weekend.
